The Hotel was inhabitated by byron Herman De Schubart, the Danish’s king minister, till the end of XVII century. He named the “villa” La Vedetta (i.e. look-out tower) for the beautiful landscape one could and still can admire from its terrace. Byron and Shelley too, charmed by the favorable position of Montenero, spent some years here.

Only 20 minutes by car separate the hotel from Pisa international airport and 10 minutes from Motorway E 80 Genova-Rosignano. Its particular position allows the clients to reach by car the most interisting cities of the region, such as Florence, Pisa, Siena and Lucca.
